GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) ensures our cotton products are made with organic fibres, processed without harmful chemicals, and manufactured under fair and safe working conditions. From seed to finished garment, every step is independently certified — so you can trust what you’re putting next to your baby’s skin.

Organic from seed to seam
GOTS covers the entire journey of our cotton — from the moment it’s planted to the moment it’s sewn into a finished garment. This includes farming without GMOs or toxic pesticides, and strict controls on every stage of production. It’s one of the most comprehensive textile standards in the world.

No toxic dyes or finishes
Many fabrics are treated with harsh bleaches, formaldehyde, or heavy metals — not ours. GOTS prohibits the use of toxic dyes and processing agents, ensuring the fabric that touches your baby’s skin is as clean and safe as possible.

Ethical and fair production
GOTS doesn’t just look at the fabric — it ensures that people are treated fairly too. This includes safe working conditions, no child or forced labour, and fair wages throughout the certified supply chain. Every GOTS-certified factory is audited to meet these social criteria.

Independent certification, globally recognised
GOTS certification is verified by third-party certifiers who inspect every step of the process. Our suppliers are regularly audited and held to a global benchmark — so your trust in our products is always backed by evidence.

GOTS FAQ's
Are all of your products GOTS certified?
Not all — some of our products are instead certified under OEKO-TEX® Standard 100, which focuses specifically on chemical safety. We use GOTS or OEKO-TEX® depending on the material and production method, but both meet strict safety and sustainability standards.
What's the difference between GOTS and OEKO-TEX?
Both certifications focus on safety and sustainability, but they cover different things:
- GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard is all about organic farming and ethical production. It certifies the entire supply chain — from how the cotton is grown (organic, no pesticides), to how it's processed (no harmful chemicals), to how the people making it are treated (fair wages, safe conditions). It’s ideal for organic cotton garments.
- OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 focuses specifically on chemical safety. It doesn’t require organic fibres, but it does ensure that no harmful substances are present in the final product — including dyes, trims, threads, and labels. Every component is independently tested to be safe for skin, especially babies.
We use both certifications across our range depending on the material and supplier — but either way, our products are held to the highest safety and quality standards.
Why is GOTS important for babywear?
Babies have extra-sensitive skin, and they often chew or suck on their clothes — so it matters what goes into every fibre. GOTS-certified garments are made from organic cotton, grown without synthetic pesticides, herbicides, or GMOs, and processed with strict limits on any harmful chemicals used in dyes, bleaches, and finishes. It also ensures that every component — including threads, labels, and snaps — meets the same high safety standards. You can trust that your baby's clothing is truly safe, soft, and gentle on their skin.
Does GOTS also cover ethical and environmental practices?
Yes. In addition to strict chemical and material standards, GOTS certification also includes robust environmental and social criteria. This means certified factories must manage wastewater responsibly, reduce water and energy use, and follow fair labour practices — including safe working conditions, no child or forced labour, and living wages. So when you choose GOTS, you're supporting a cleaner planet and fairer treatment for the people who make your clothes.
How can I tell which products are GOTS certified?
Look for the green t-shirt GOTS logo on the product page under the images. It will also be on all the garment tags.
